WHY COLOUR NEEDS A SECOND OPINION
The right colour in the tin is not always the right colour in the room
The same paint can look noticeably different from one room to
the next. Natural light, the direction a window faces, flooring,
furniture and even the colour of the room next door all change
how a colour is perceived.
Many people only discover this after the walls are painted.
A colour Consultancy is a chance to talk through those factors
before any paint is bought, so the decisions you make are
grounded in how your own rooms actually behave.
Because EveroDecor is a working painting and decorating business,
the advice is practical as well as visual. We think about how a
colour will be applied, how the surface is prepared and how the
finish will live day to day.

WHAT AFFECTS COLOUR
Things that change how a colour looks
North-facing rooms tend to receive cooler, flatter light, which
can make some colours appear greyer or heavier. South-facing rooms
are usually warmer and brighter, and can bring out different
undertones in the same paint.
Artificial lighting matters too. Warm bulbs can add yellow to a
colour in the evening, while cooler bulbs can sharpen it.
Large surfaces nearby, such as flooring, sofas, curtains and
adjoining walls, also reflect colour back into the room. These
are the details we look at during a Consultancy.
